DubbingMate for Mac

Dub YouTube captions into a voice you choose, live

Reading subtitles pulls your eyes off the video. DubbingMate turns YouTube captions into speech, so you can keep watching while you listen.

Open a video in the app and it detects the captions. Click once to start dubbing. The voice follows each caption and adjusts its speed to fit.

- Real-time dubbing into a voice you choose

- Speech synthesis runs on your computer, so the video and synthesized audio are not sent to a server

- Separate volume for the original sound and the dubbing

Good to know

- The video needs captions (auto-generated ones count).

- The app does not translate. Other languages rely on YouTube's caption translation.

- Voices: English, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Chinese.

- The first dub downloads a voice model. A license check sends minimal information, such as a device identifier and email.

- Windows and macOS. On Mac, download from the DubbingMate website (Apple Silicon and Intel builds, notarized). The Windows installer is not code-signed, so Windows may warn you on first run.

Pricing: 72-hour free trial from your first dub, all features, no card needed. Then $9.99 one time, no subscription. Includes 1 year of updates (renewal afterwards is optional), up to 3 devices, and one license for Windows and Mac. Refund any time if the key is not activated, within 7 days once activated.
